Michael leads AMS Group’s Payroll & Employment Taxes division, bringing more than a decade of senior experience advising growing and complex organisations on payroll, employment tax and workforce strategy.

A Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) member and former Head of Payroll Services at Johnston Carmichael, Michael has built his career supporting businesses across Scotland and the wider UK. His expertise spans payroll compliance, employment tax risk, global mobility and reward strategy, helping organisations move beyond administration towards real-time insight and strategic workforce planning.

At AMS, Michael is driving the development of a standalone Payroll, Employment Tax & Global Mobility division, designed to combine technical excellence with intuitive reporting, digital dashboards and proactive advisory support. His focus is simple: to give leadership teams the clarity, confidence and control they need in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

Raymond is Senior Manager in AMS Group’s Payroll & Employment Taxes division, bringing strong technical depth and practical expertise across payroll operations and employment tax compliance.

Formerly with Johnston Carmichael and with earlier experience at Lloyds Banking Group, Raymond supports clients across a wide range of sectors, helping ensure compliant payroll delivery while strengthening internal controls and reporting processes.

Raymond plays a key role in building AMS’s enhanced payroll capability, combining technical precision with a relationship-led approach. His focus is on delivering reliable, efficient payroll services while supporting clients with proactive advice in an evolving regulatory landscape.
